The routine

Your morning, step by step

Thirty seconds. It works best when it always happens in the same place at the same moment.

1

Take two capsules with breakfast

With your first meal or right after it. If your stomach is sensitive, always take them with food.

2

Drink a full glass of water

Helps the capsules go down and starts the day hydrated.

3

Keep it earlier in the day

Do not take it right before bed. Rhodiola Rosea can feel stimulating for some people, so leave a few hours before you sleep.

4

Repeat every day

Attach it to something you already do without thinking, like your coffee. The routine is what does the work.

Taking CTRL as part of a morning routine

Pick your timing

Two ways to take your daily serving

Same two capsules a day either way. The only question is whether you want them together or spread across the day.

Start here

Both capsules in the morning

The standard routine, and the one to start with. Take both capsules with breakfast for at least the first week so you know how you respond before you change anything.

2 capsules · with breakfast
If afternoons are your problem

Split it across the day

If you take a stimulant, or your day falls apart somewhere around two or three in the afternoon, try splitting the same serving. One capsule with breakfast, one when that dip usually lands. Same daily amount, aimed at the hour that actually hurts.

1 with breakfast · 1 early afternoon

Whichever you pick, stay within the recommended daily serving. If you take prescription medication, including a stimulant, speak to your prescriber before adding any supplement.

One small thing that improves absorption

Take it with a meal that has a little healthy fat in it: eggs, yogurt, avocado, nuts or olive oil. Vitamin D3 is fat soluble, so a meal with some fat helps your body absorb it.

What happens next

What to expect, week by week

There is no stimulant in CTRL, so there is no first day rush. It builds.

From a low dopamine baseline to a rebuilt one
Week 1
Quiet

The uneventful week, and that is normal. This is where most people quit, and the worst moment to judge it.

Week 2
84%

reported calmer, steadier focus within the first two weeks. 78% said the pull toward their phone got noticeably weaker.

Week 4
88%

said evenings started feeling easier by week four. This is the point where you can honestly tell.

Month 3 and on
91%

would recommend CTRL to a friend. The people who stay consistent get the most out of it.

Based on an internal survey of CTRL customers after 30 days of daily use. Individual experiences vary depending on diet, sleep, stress levels, health and lifestyle.

Why the routine is worth it

Diagnosed at 34, this covers the gap

To be clear first: this does not replace what my doctor prescribed and I am not suggesting that it does. What it helps with is the part nobody treats. The flat afternoons. Not being able to begin, even on things I actually want to do. Two capsules in the morning and starting stopped being the entire battle.

I have a whole drawer of things that did nothing

Nootropics, mushroom coffee, three different focus apps. Most of it made me jittery for an hour and then flat by two. I bought this fully expecting it to become drawer item number four. Three weeks and the afternoon hole is gone, and there was no spike either, which is the part I did not predict. Slightly annoyed that it works.

I got my evenings back

By seven I had nothing left. Not tired, exactly. Empty. I would scroll until it was late enough to go to bed, and that was my whole evening most days. I did not think a capsule would touch something like that. But there is something there at eight now. I cooked properly twice last week. It crept up on me.

One clean hour was all I wanted

Small team, forty tabs open, nothing finished by six. I was not after a miracle. I get two or three good blocks now. It is not that I feel switched on, it is that I stop wandering off whatever is in front of me. Meetings are less painful as well, which I was not expecting and will happily take.

Eight years of vaping, gone quiet

Started at 19. Patches, gum, cold turkey three times, and every one ended the same way, a few good days and then straight back to it. I did not expect this to be any different. Six weeks in and the urge is just not there the same way. I keep waiting for it to come back. It has not.

I nearly dropped out in third year

I could not sit with a textbook for ten minutes without my phone winning, and I was drinking so much energy drink my hands were shaking, and still nothing was going in, and I honestly thought the problem was me. I do not know how to explain what changed except that the work stopped feeling impossible before I had even started.

Do this, not that

Do

  • Take it every morning at roughly the same time.
  • Take it with food, especially if your stomach is sensitive.
  • Give it a full month before you decide.
  • Protect your sleep. It does more for focus than anything you can swallow.

Don't

  • Take it right before bed.
  • Exceed the daily serving to chase a faster effect.
  • Skip days and expect week four results.
  • Use it as a replacement for sleep, food or medical care.

Questions people ask

I am on day five and I feel nothing. Is it working?
Week one is usually the quiet one, and it is the most common moment to give up. There is no stimulant in CTRL, so there is no obvious first day signal. Most of what people report starts showing up in the second week. Keep the routine going and judge it at the end of a full month.
I take a stimulant for ADHD. How should I time it?
Plenty of our customers do. Start with both capsules at breakfast for the first week. If your hardest hour is the middle of the afternoon, move to the split timing: one capsule with breakfast and one when that dip usually lands. Same daily serving, better aimed. It is not a replacement for anything your doctor prescribed, and if you take prescription medication you should run it past your prescriber first.
What if I forget a morning?
Nothing to fix. Take your normal serving the next morning and carry on. Do not double up to make up for a missed day.
How late in the day is too late?
Leave a few hours before bed. Rhodiola Rosea can feel stimulating for some people, so the early afternoon is fine but right before sleep is not the moment.
Can I take more to make it work faster?
No. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving. More capsules will not produce a stronger or faster result.
Can I take it with coffee?
Yes. CTRL is not a stimulant and does not need to replace your coffee. Just keep the water and the breakfast in the routine.
Can I take it on an empty stomach?
It is better with food. A meal improves the absorption of Vitamin D3, and if your stomach is sensitive, food is the difference between comfortable and not.
My capsules arrived soft or stuck together.
That is heat in transit. Send a photo and your order number to info@try-balanced.com and we will replace them. Nothing needs to be sent back.
Something is wrong with a charge. What should I do first?
Write to us before you contact your bank. One email usually fixes it within hours. A bank dispute takes weeks, freezes the order while it runs, and stops us from being able to help you directly in the meantime. Give us the chance to make it right first: info@try-balanced.com.
Where do I read the full guarantee terms?
The conditions are on the 30-Day Guarantee page. It asks for 30 consecutive days of use following this guide, so this page is the one it refers to.
Important safety information
  • For adults only. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving.
  • Consult a qualified healthcare professional before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, or take prescription medication. This is especially important for people taking antidepressants, MAO inhibitors, thyroid medication, levodopa, antibiotics, bisphosphonates, or medication affecting blood pressure.
  • People with bipolar disorder, hyperthyroidism, Graves' disease, kidney disease, or known calcium or magnesium disorders should seek professional advice before use.
  • Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
  • Discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional if you experience an unexpected reaction.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Running low?
